Oldsmobile Outdoor Club Hunting Contest |

|
Our hunting contest continue to draw more interest each year as more and more of our members retire and get to spend their free time in the outdoors. With this scenario we encourage our members that are still working to get out as much as possible and use their youth and agility to compete with all the” old timers”. As always you can mail your entries to either Larry Glick, 8335 Beard Rd., Perry, MI 48872 or Mike Boedeker, 808 Clark Rd, Lansing, MI 48917 or turn them in to any Outdoor Club Representative. To make entering as easy as possible entry forms are available throughout the plants or by clicking here to download the form.
Hunter Safety Classes It is with great pleasure and pride that your outdoor club continues to help young hunters get started in this fine sport. Congratulations go to both UAW Locals 602 and 652 for sponsoring yearly hunter safety classes. As always their fine instructors were instrumental in another 100% graduation rate from the students. Another perfect record that is even more to their credit is that not one of their students has ever been involved in a hunting accident. If you see them around please stop and thank them for the time and effort they dedicate to our kids. They are: Mike Bokovoy, Mike Bennett, Bill Green, Larry Glick, Dennis Taylor, Gary White, E. Dale Rennells, Mike Boedeker, Gary and Jim "Moose" Dickman. Both UAW Locals 652 and 602 will sponsor a class the weekends of August 11th and 12th and August 4th and 5th respectively. All sign ups will be at each respective union hall, but not until notices are posted in the plants, in the Lansing Labor News, and also on this website. Please do not call until you see a notice. As always one lucky youth from each class received a new shotgun from the Oldsmobile Outdoor Club. A special thanks to both UAW Locals and the Conservation/Recreation Chairmans fromUAW Locals 652 and 602 along with their committee members. |
